A 40-inch-tall egg created by Jeff Koons for Fabergé’s Big Egg Hunt has already hit $360,000 in online bidding after going up for $500 on art auction site Paddle8.

The sum has already broken Paddle8’s record for a Web sale and there’s still a week left to go in the auction that’s also offering eggs by artists including Tracey Emin, Bruce Weber, Peter Beard, Robert Wilson, Peter Max, Terry Richardson and David Sale.

Emin’s egg is up to $17,000 on auctioneer and co-founder Alexander Gilkes’ site, which employs Britain’s Princess Eugenie.

Paddle8’s previous biggest-selling work was a painting by artist Dan Colen for $260,000. The 260 jumbo eggs commissioned by Fabergé for charity are on display around town through Friday.
