Jerry Sandusky’s adopted son breaks his three-year silence

Oprah Winfrey is set to air her tell-all interview with Matthew Sandusky, the adopted son of convicted child predator Jerry Sandusky.

Matthew says Jerry’s abuse began when he was 10. “At bedtime, his ritual began,” said Matthew.

Matthew came forward with his accusations during Jerry’s 2012 trial. During the interview, he will address his adopted mother Dottie Sandusky’s accusations that he lied about the abuse, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Jerry was convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse and was sentence to 30 to 60 years in prison. Matthew, although he wasn’t one of the 10 boys Jerry was convicted of molesting, did receive a settlement from both Penn State and a separate law firm.

Winfrey’s entire interview will air July 17 at 9 p.m. on OWN.
