Katie Holmes eyeing movie producer role

Katie Holmes could be adding Hollywood producer to her résumé.

The actress has optioned film rights to the upcoming novel “All We Had” by artist and first-time author Annie Weatherwax, Page Six has learned.

The book focuses on a down-and-out mother, Rita, and her 13-year-old daughter, Ruthie, who wind up stranded in the quirky town of Fat River, where Rita lands a job at a diner.

The novel from Scribner is out on Aug. 5.

There’s no word yet on whether Holmes — who’s in next month’s “The Giver” — will also star in “All We Had.”

Holmes was previously an executive producer on another book adaptation, 2010’s “The Romantics.”

We hear that ICM lit agent Esther Newberg put together the “All We Had” deal.
