Intruder spotted near Clintons’ Amagansett rental

The Secret Service went on alert after they found an intruder perched in the woods taking photos of the home owned by Harvey Weinstein, right next door to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Amagansett summer rental.

The photographer was “questioned and released” by East Hampton police after being spotted “hiding in the woods” between the Clintons’ home at 44 Broadview Road and Weinstein’s home next door, as the movie mogul threw a star-studded viewing party for his new film “The Giver” on Sunday.

The Clintons, along with their pregnant daughter, Chelsea, attended the dinner and screening and mingled with guests including Katie Holmes, Jeff Bridges, Seth Meyers, Ralph and Ricky Lauren, Jon Bon Jovi and wife Dorothea Hurley, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld and Jonathan and Lizzie Tisch.

One source told us Secret Service agents spotted a man hiding among the trees on a property near the two houses around 7:30 p.m., just as the party was getting into full swing.

We’re told the agents then notified party organizers, who told them to take “appropriate action” if the man trespassed on Weinstein’s grounds.

The Secret Service caught an intruder near the Clintons’ summer home.

Local cops were called in and questioned the man, who was later released without charge and left the scene.

A Secret Service spokesman confirmed to us: “An individual was observed between houses taking pictures of an adjacent property. They were stopped, and it was verified they were taking pictures of the other property. Local police were contacted as well. They were sent on their way with no charges. The Clintons were not in residence at that time. No further info on identity of the person.”

The Clintons reportedly plunked down $100,000 to rent the 7-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom vacation rental on a 200-foot-high bluff for three weeks in August.

A Weinstein rep declined to comment. East Hampton town police didn’t get back to us.
