“Gossip Girl” star Kelly Rutherford burst into tears after she suffered a big legal setback in her bid to keep her son Hermés, 7, and daughter Helena, 5, in the US.
Rutherford stormed out of a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday after a judge said he didn’t have the “jurisdiction” to interfere with a California state judge’s 2012 order requiring the kids to live with their father, Daniel Giersch, in France.
She told The Post’s Rich Calder she feels betrayed by Uncle Sam: “My own country won’t protect the rights of my own children.”
Rutherford had hoped to block the kids from returning to France when their summer vacation ends next week.
She claims they are effectively being “illegally deported.”
