Hundreds of NYC residents honor Ray Kelly

On a balmy night in lower Manhattan, more than 300 Battery Park City residents turned out to celebrate their neighbor, former Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Battery Park City tenants association for keeping New York City safe during his 12-year reign.

Kelly arrived at the North Cove Marina with his wife, Veronica, and their sons, Greg Kelly, co-host of “Good Day New York,” and James Kelly, a director at JP Morgan Chase.

The Gateway Plaza Tenants Association feted the Kellys aboard the sailboat Arabella with an overflow crowd on the dock.

Kelly and his wife have lived in Battery Park City for more than 20 years.
