Katie Couric worried her wedding was seen as “downmarket” after breathless details plugging vendors from the caterer to the jeweler were blasted to the media before the Champagne ran dry.
Couric wed John Molner before just 50 guests at her East Hampton home.
But details came out including, “The bride wore an ivory crystal beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace halter gown designed by Carmen Marc Valvo,” and, “The florist was Elissa Held Events with gorgeous garden arrangements complementing Katie’s garden.”
Her rep snapped, “Completely false. Katie is thrilled about everything surrounding the wedding and is very grateful and flattered for the interest in her finding happiness.”
