Legendary New York cabaret performer Joey Arias reunited the original drag queens of the West Village’s storied Bar d’O at Irving Plaza on Wednesday night.
Arias — wearing a nude corset and black pasties — joined performers Raven O and Sherry Vine in singing a medley of songs before 300 captivated guests including designer duo The Blonds, nightlife doyenne Susanne Bartsch, fashion dandy Patrick McDonald and Indochine owner Jean-Marc Houmard.
The gig was also in celebration of Arias’ collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, and the singer displayed artwork from his new Wipe Art Collection — created by smearing makeup onto cosmetic wipes.
