Katie Cleary says her husband’s suicide had nothing to do with photos of her with Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier.
But TMZ reports that Andrew Stern’s friends are telling a different story.
Although the couple, who called it quits eight months ago, allegedly discussed the photos and decided that they weren’t an issue, Stern’s friends say they were problematic. Stern reportedly filed for divorce in April only because of Cleary’s constant travel and hobnobbing.
A rep for Cleary says the “Deal or No Deal” model has been friends with Grenier for quite some time and she first met DiCaprio that night in Cannes. DiCaprio denies any romantic involvement with Cleary.
“He has nothing to do with what happened between Katie and her husband … Leo did not hook up with Katie Cleary. They briefly talked at a club in Cannes, but that was it. She was clearly with Adrian Grenier,” said a source.
Stern shot himself in the head at a shooting range in the San Fernando Valley on Sunday. He was allegedly suffering from depression, financial trouble and stress due to marital problems.
