Johnny Depp sported a diamond engagement ring while promoting his new film in Beijing on Monday — confirming rumors of his engagement to actress Amber Heard.
“The fact that I’m wearing a chick’s ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle,” the actor cracked when asked if the couple were engaged. He then displayed a dainty diamond ring.
This is the first time he has commented on his engagement to Heard, his co-star in 2011’s “The Rum Diary.”
In a typical off-the-wall comment, Depp said: “I think that I would be better at making women’s shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can’t plan anything. I’m really bad at that stuff.”
The actor was in China promoting “Transcendence,” in which he plays a terminally ill scientist who uploads his mind into a computer.
