Society photographer Patrick McMullan was at the Southampton Hospital Summer Party on Saturday night when he became a grandfather.
Sources said that Patrick was on the phone from the bash with his son, Liam, whose fiancée, Virginia Chambers, had just given birth to 7-pound, 9-ounce, Zelda Rose McMullan at Mount Sinai Roosevelt in Manhattan.
Proud Patrick was telling friends the happy news at the swanky soiree, where guests included John Catsimatidis, Rita Cosby and Jean Shafiroff.
“I couldn’t be more excited. I only wish she’d been born at Southampton Hospital — then I could’ve just walked down the street and seen her. I am so happy and proud,” Patrick said.
