Todd English has finally commented on the infamous sweaty photo of him in a hot tub with three topless women, which first ran on Page Six in March, saying, “It’s much better that I stay behind a hot stove than in a hot tub.”
In a NY Observer profile this week, the bad-boy chef tells Allen Salkin, “The fact that it was that one moment I get scrutinized for, it’s very frustrating . . . I’m home in bed by 11 o’clock usually . . . In my restaurants, there’s always somebody there to celebrate something. They want me to come out. My staff knows: Make sure that’s sparkling water in my Champagne glass. I don’t want to go down that path of being the center of the party.”
We think he’s so far down that path, he’s in the far country.
