Alec Baldwin is still berating the cops who arrested him for riding his bike against traffic, joking to Page Six, “There is only one crime more serious in New York than riding a bike the wrong way down the street, and that’s terrorism.”
The actor, smarting after he was busted for riding his bike the wrong way against traffic on Fifth Avenue on Tuesday, said he believes he was targeted by cops who acted far too heavy-handed over his cycle crime because of his celebrity status.
Speaking to Page Six at a party for Barbara Walters at the Four Seasons on Wednesday, hothead-on-wheels Baldwin said, “Now write this down carefully — as I was stepping out of my car tonight outside the Four Seasons, a delivery guy on a bike going the wrong way down the street rode right in front of me and my wife.
“I joked to a police officer outside the restaurant, ‘There is only one crime worse in New York than riding a bike the wrong way down a street, and that’s terrorism.’ The police officer laughed.”
Baldwin denied he had yelled at the two female cops who arrested him, telling us, “They recognized me immediately. I saw the white female cop whisper to the Hispanic cop about who I was, and then they handcuffed me,” adding that he believed he was targeted because he’s a celebrity.
Baldwin continued he’ll put up a legal fight, warning, “There’s a process hearing July 24, when all of this will come out.”

Meanwhile, Baldwin’s super-fit wife Hilaria was more concerned about New York Post columnist Andrea Peyser, who wrote a piece this week titled, “Hilaria can have you, Alec Baldwin.”
Hilaria joked that Peyser could benefit from some breathing and meditation, saying, “I don’t know her, but Andrea Peyser should see me and do some yoga.”
Alec and Hilaria were earlier spotted mingling with a host of stars, including Michael Douglas, Gayle King, and Hoda Kotb at the party to celebrate Walters’ retirement. Alec was seen chatting with Woody Allen, who we’re told sympathized with him over his bike brouhaha.
