‘Real Housewives’ star Apollo Nida ordered to pay $1.9 million in restitution

As part of Apollo Nida‘s eight-year prison sentence for federal fraud, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star will have to pay $1.9 million in restitution to some pretty big businesses.

Nida, who is married to Phaedra Parksplead guilty to federal fraud charges on May 7. As part of a $2.3 million scheme, Nida and co-conspirators stole victims’ identities and used them to obtain checks, file fraudulent tax returns and make fraudulent claims against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

As part of his restitution payments, TMZ reports that the 35-year-old reality television fixture owes:

  • $828,300 to JP Morgan Chase
  • $127,011 to the IRS
  • $24,985 to Delta Airlines
  • $15,778 to the State of California
  • $45,525 to the State of Connecticut
  • $39,275 to the State of Texas

Authorities also say Nida and his co-conspirators laundered money by opening bank accounts in its victims’ names.
