Designer Frederick Anderson turned his birthday bash into a surprise wedding in front of 350 on Wednesday night by announcing he’d married fiancé Dimitri earlier at City Hall.
The couple spontaneously tied the knot in a civil ceremony, then went to Cartier for matching bands.
They surprised friends at Arena including Beth Rudin DeWoody, Sonja Morgan (who hit the dance floor with enthusiasm), George Wayne, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Jean Shafiroff, Matthew and Nicole Mellon and Sharon Bush.
Anderson’s business partner, and mate for 20 years till they split in 2012, Douglas Hannant had a surprise of his own: He told guests he’s engaged to Nicholas Wayne.
