Adam Levine: ‘The Voice’ has ‘a ways to go’

Adam Levine admits there’s trouble on “The Voice” after ratings for his show’s May finale plunged.

“I’m not going to lie to you, I think there are problems,” Levine tells the new Rolling Stone, adding the singing competition hasn’t had any breakout talent.

“Millions . . . watch the show every week and fall in love with a singer, then you don’t hear much from them. We haven’t had a breakout success like Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood.”

He sums up that the show’s “very successful, but it’s got a ways to go.”
