David Byrne and Fatboy Slim are hoping to woo 85-year-old Imelda Marcos to appear in the London performances of their musical “Here Lies Love,” about the rise and fall of the former first lady of the Philippines.
The production is currently playing at the Public Theater downtown, but it will launch across the pond at the National Theatre in London this fall.
Byrne and Slim’s creative team will be spending their holiday weekend jetting from New York to Manila to hold open-call auditions.
