Bono, who was invited to George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s Italian wedding, says it was a tear-jerking ceremony.
The U2 singer, 54, was spotted leaving Venice on Monday when he revealed a small detail to People: “The party was great. It’s still going on … in some people’s minds.”
The “Beautiful Day” singer said the wedding itself was very special. “It was very emotional and lovely,” said Bono.
Clooney, 53, and Alamuddin, 36, exchanged vows in Venice’s Aman hotel overlooking the Grand Canal on Saturday. Cindy Crawford, Bill Murray, Matt Damon, Anna Wintour and more were among the invited guests to the four-day affair, which began on Friday with a rehearsal dinner.
On Monday, the couple will hold a civil ceremony along the Grand Canal near the 16th-century Cavalli Palace.
A portion of the famous walkway will be closed for two hours, reports the Associated Press.
