Matt Lauer for president?
The “Today” show host is now on Facebook, and kicked things off with a Q&A about his most inspiring — and most awkward — interviews.
The toughest query came from his former co-anchor Meredith Vieira: “What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?”
“Run for public office!” Lauer replied. “By the way, your name sounds familiar. Who is this?”
Addressing other questions, Lauer revealed that Tom Cruise was his most awkward interview and, “Sandra Bullock makes me nervous every once in a while.”
Most inspiring? “I loved interviewing Adam Greenberg, the baseball player who got a second chance in the pros. I learned a lot about life from him.”
As for weatherman Al Roker?
“Al is like walking on a high wire without a net, but I’ve been working with him for more than 20 years and it is still fun every morning.”
No one asked him about his rivalry with Brian Williams.
