Dentist didn’t bite at settlement deal after Hotel bar brawl

A New York celebrity dentist being sued for $1 million for an alleged altercation at the Gramercy Park Hotel Rose Bar was offered to settle the matter a month before the suit was filed, Page Six has learned.

Dr. Shawn Sadri was hit with the suit last week by Dennis Hoffmann, who alleged the dentist “pushed” and “battered” him, causing him to fall and slice his hand on broken glass.

A letter was sent by Hoffman’s reps May 15, claiming Hoffman “received an estimate . . . of $23,340 [for a] surgical procedure” and asking Sadri for “a financial contribution of $30,000 to cover it.”

Sadri’s attorney Greg Garber said Friday Sadri has not yet been served, but “no criminal complaint was ever filed against Dr. Sadri, and there was no emergency room visit, or any type of treatment, administered to [Hoffman] until one or two months after the alleged incident.”

The letter asking for $30K claimed the alleged fracas happened “on or about Feb. 4” and Hoffman met with a doctor March 5.

The suit said the incident was in January.

Hoffman’s lawyer didn’t comment.
