J. Alexander thinks designers are doing better at adding diversity to the runways.
“I think the models are a bit older, and an extra two pounds added on some,” the former America’s Next Top Model judge told us at the Skingraft show. “There’s that, ‘What is she?’ Is she black, is she Brazilian?’ We can’t figure out who she is or what she is, but there has been a mixture, which is great.”
Alexander quipped of Lincoln Center’s darker interior decor for Fashion Week, “I felt like I had to smile [wider] so people could see me. I felt one day like I was in a burka.”
