The-Dream charged with assaulting pregnant girlfriend

The R&B producer who wrote smash hits like Justin Bieber’s “Baby” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” punched and kicked his eight-months-pregnant girlfriend in a heinous attack at The Plaza, authorities charged on Wednesday.

Terius Nash, who is known as “The-Dream,” surrendered to Manhattan cops for allegedly pummeling his gal pal in April 2013 before threatening to kill her “like O.J. Simpson killed Nicole Brown” if she went to the police, according to a criminal complaint.

Lydia Nam, 29, waited seven months to report the incident, and cops investigated for another six months before arresting Nash, law-enforcement sources said.

Nam told cops in her home state of California that she was eight-months pregnant and inside her hotel room when Nash choked her with a necklace she was wearing before punching and kicking her in the stomach, police sources said.

The baby appears to have been unharmed. Nam said she waited until November 2013 to alert the cops because she was threatened.

In a separate incident, after the initial attack, Nash kicked Nam in the face, cracking one of her teeth, the complaint said.

The star producer was charged with assault, strangulation, to a child and reckless endangerment at his arraignment Wednesday night in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Nash said he was feeling “pretty good” after being released on $20,000 bail.

“There’s worse things in the world going on,” Nash said before being driven away in a luxury Maybach.

Earlier in the day, Nash’s lawyer released a statement denying the allegations.

“Dream voluntarily surrendered to the Midtown North Precinct this morning in order to responsibly address the false allegations,” the lawyer, Benjamin BRafman, said of the twice-divorced father of five.

“He is innocent of the charges filed against him today, and we are confident that when this case is concluded and all the evidence has been reviewed, it will be clear that he is innocent,” the lawyer said.

The influential R&B musician has also worked with Rihanna and co-wrote her break-out hit, “Umbrella.”

Nash’s relationships have at times been publicly stormy. He split with his second wife, singer Christina Milian, in 2010 after just five months of marriage — and only nine days before she delivered their daughter.

He ended his first marriage to singer Nivea amid reports of his cheating.
