Donald Drapkin, the former associate of Ronald Perelman and founder and chairman of Casablanca Capital, has quietly broken up with his “femme fatale” girlfriend, Elyse Slaine.
The polished, dark-haired Slaine was previously married to David Slaine, the Galleon Group hedge fund employee who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and securities fraud in 2009.
David avoided prison time after becoming a wire-wearing FBI informant who helped the government convict Galleon co-founder Raj Rajaratnam.
The Post reported that Drapkin and Slaine — once described as one of Wall Street’s “most fascinating first wives” — bought a three-bedroom duplex at 700 Park Ave. for around $4.2 million in May 2013.
But the couple quietly separated after that, and now Drapkin is dating Sue Hostetler, the respected editor-in-chief of Art Basel Miami Beach magazine.
We’re told Drapkin and Hostetler have moved in together downtown while Slaine has kept the apartment at 700 Park.
A source told us, “Elyse and Donald are still friends following the split. She kept the apartment at Park Avenue.”
