Astrophysicist and Carl Sagan disciple Neil deGrasse Tyson gets his space-themed clothing custom-made by a bridal designer named Mary McCarthy, who is based in Florida.
“I have about 100 celestial ties and about six celestial vests,” the popular host of Fox’s “Cosmos” — who was recently parodied by Kenan Thompson on “SNL” — told us this week while showing off a reversible vest patterned with stars during day and night.
“[Mary] was in one of my lectures one time — I don’t know her from anybody — she came up and started touching my body in a slightly uncomfortable way, and six weeks later this showed up in the mail. She was measuring me.”
