No one can fill retired Barbara Walters’ shoes — but we hear that Star Jones will fill her seat on “The View” on Friday.
Jones’ one-off return is to announce her new post as president of the National Association of Professional Women.
Jones, one of the original “View” co-hosts in 1997, was replaced by Rosie O’Donnell nine years later.
On Friday’s installment, “Whoopi Goldberg will open with acknowledgment that Star was one of the original hosts, and will congratulate her on her new gig,” said a source.
