So much for Wiz Khalifa being the only rapper Kanye West respects.
West, 38, spent part of Wednesday ranting about his fellow emcee, 28, on Twitter after he was criticized for changing the name of his upcoming album from “Swish” to “Waves.”
Over the course of 27 tweets — which have since been deleted — West accused Khalifa of stealing Kid Cudi’s shtick, made fun of his pants, dismissed his music as “corny,” and slapped down his rebukes about the title change. (These could be the pants he was referring to.)
“Oh n—-s must think I’m not petty cause I’m the best that’s ever made music,” he wrote before repeatedly dissing Khalifa.
On Tuesday night, shortly after the “Yeezus” rapper announced that he was changing the title of his album from “Swish” to “Waves,” Khalifa took to Twitter to wonder why West wasn’t giving more credit to Max B, the emcee who popularized the wavy movement (which can be described as melodic and lo-fi rap) in the mid-‘00s.

“Please don’t take the wave,” he tweeted.
During his first flurry of tweets, West took Khalifa to task for alluding to Kim Kardashian the night before when he wrote, “Hit this kk and become yourself.” The “Bake Sale” emcee shot back on Twitter that the “kk” he was referring to was marijuana, in one of his two responses to the rant.
“You own waves???? I own your child!!!!” West wrote.
Whether or not that was a simple misunderstanding didn’t stop West from dragging his and Khalifa’s shared ex Amber Rose into the mix, referring to but not naming her in four of his tweets.
“You let a stripper trap you,” he wrote in one, before quickly following up with, “I know you mad every time you look at your child that girl got you for 18 years.”
West also said that while Khalifa had taken ownership of the word “wave” and its different permutations, he owned his and Rose’s 2-year-old son, Sebastian.
But the 32-year-old Rose soon shot back with a harshly worded tweet of her own.

Twitter
Shortly after he had ended his rant by calling himself the “greatest artist of all time,” and reminding readers of his album’s release date, West returned to Twitter to say that despite his slew of angry posts, he loved Khalifa and wanted peace and positive energy.

Soon after, West deleted the offending tweets and expressed remorse for embarrassing Khalifa and destroying his follower count. He also wrote that he was glad to learn that “KK” referred to weed and not his wife.
