Former Paramount president Frank Yablans joins Judo pic

Former president of Paramount Pictures Frank Yablans, who helped with classics like “The Godfather” and “Chinatown,” will be a producer on the upcoming “Don’t Call Me Sir.”

The movie, which focuses on female Brooklyn judo champ Rusty Kanokogi, who won a 1959 judo title disguised as a boy and had to return it, will shoot this summer in Coney Island.

Bo Svenson will produce, with Eric Rivas scouting locations.

Yablans tells us he likes the story because, “It’s a young woman overcoming all the odds to achieve her goals and set a pattern for those who follow.”
