Party like a rockstar: Nirvana, Sonic Youth hit Ace Hotel

Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic celebrated the group’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a party at The Breslin in the Ace Hotel Wednesday night.

The two remaining band members, plus Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis and Beastie Boy Mike D, were all present, and several speeches were given in tribute to Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994.

Courtney Love, Cobain’s widow, was not there.

We’re told the musicians partied on until 3:30 a.m. Thursday. Along with Nirvana, KISS, Linda Ronstadt, and Daryl Hall and John Oates were inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center.
