Art collectors, Wall Street billionaires and rockers have all been seen scouring New York art fairs this week.

An Ellsworth Kelly was reportedly snapped up for $2 million during a VIP preview on Tuesday at the Art Dealers Association of America’s annual Upper East Side Art Show, where Third Point hedge funder Daniel Loeb, KKR’s Henry Kravis and super-collector Eli Broad were spotted.

On Wednesday, former Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne perused the annual Armory Show at Piers 92 & 94, wearing a blue jump suit and mingling with Sofia Coppola, Beastie Boy Michael Diamond and Psychedelic Furs rocker-turned-painter Richard Butler.

Also spotted: Art dealer and Heidi Klum boy-toy Vito Schnabel, Katie Couric, artists Maurizio Cattelan and KAWS, curator Jeffrey Deitch and collectors Donald and Mera Rubell.

Adding to the arty swirl, the Whitney Museum kicked off its 2014 Biennial with opening night guests Tuesday including Steve Martin, David Schwimmer, Chuck Close, Kara Walker and Peter Brant.
