Insiders worried that tell-all tome will tarnish images

After Page Six reported that former Atlantic Records executive Dorothy Carvello has written a blockbuster manuscript about her wild adventures in the music business — including starting out as legendary producer Ahmet Ertegun’s assistant — we hear some insiders are worried the tome will tarnish the late Ertegun’s image.

(Carvello recently told Billboard of one helicopter trip with her boss on the way to sign rockers Skid Row: “Ahmet felt me up like he was reading Braille.”)

When we reached out to Carvello for comment on the music insiders’ concerns, she told us of working as Ertegun’s right-hand woman: “They’ve never seen him eat a tuna fish sandwich or urinate in public!”

Fair enough.
