Andy Hammerstein, great-great-grandson of the legendary lyricist Oscar and brother to The Box owner Simon, has been attracting attention on Broadway.
Hammerstein and fellow artist Tom Christopher have taken over the storefront window in the Brill Building for a live working painter’s studio that has been attracting crowds.
“I have one side, Tom has the other side,” Hammerstein told us. “We put up paintings behind us, not in front of us and it attracts people even more.”
