L’Wren Scott funeral switched to West Coast by Jagger, brother

The body of tragic fashion designer L’Wren Scott will be flown to LA this weekend for a wake and funeral, The Post has learned.

The decision to hold the viewing and final farewell on the West Coast instead of in New York was made by Scott’s older brother, Randall Bambrough, and her longtime lover, rock legend Mick Jagger a source said Friday night.

Scott’s body has been at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side since Wednesday, when the Medical Examiner’s office released it after confirming her death was a suicide.

The designer — whose clothes were a runway staple for A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Amy Adams and Sarah Jessica Parker — had been found hanged in her Chelsea apartment on Monday.

Scott left no note, but had been suffering financial difficulties and had reportedly planned to announce the closing of her design business this week.

Her relationship with Jagger was also floundering, sources have told The Post.

Jagger has been grieving in LA with his children since Thursday, and had pushed for the body to be flown there, a source said.

Bambrough came to New York from his home in Utah — where Scott was raised — for the sad task of identifying Scott’s body at the funeral home earlier Friday.

He has barred the only other sibling, sister Jan, from attending the wake and funeral.

“Randy is trying to keep Jan from being able to attend any services,” Jan’s husband, Ron Shane, told The Post, explaining that Jan and Scott had been close until a falling out six years ago, when their mother died.
