Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding rehearsal at Versailles was predictably lavish – with women dressed in Marie Antoinette costumes, a performance from Lana Del Rey and tricks performed by David Blaine.
Sources inside Friday’s party said guests at the party at the French royal chateau included the entire Kardashian clan, designer Valentino Garavani, LaLa Anthony, and Serena Williams – but noticeably absent were Beyonce and Jay Z, who is expected to be the best man at the ceremony today in Florence.
A source said, “A lot of the talk was how much they paid to be allowed to use Versailles, even though they couldn’t marry there because French law has a residency requirement.”
Guests at Versailles were chauffeured in a fleet of Mercedes Benz limos and treated to endless Champagne and caviar. Inside, they were entertained by a performance by Lana Del Rey, while Blaine roamed around doing magic tricks, and women dressed as Marie Antoinette. Let them eat cake indeed.
Others there included Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary, movie producer Joel Silver, fashion entrepreneur Renzo Russo, Kim’s close friend Brittny Gastineau and producer Rick Rubin.
This morning, the guests were flown to Florence, Italy on two private jets – where the actual wedding will take place today – and were told their phones would be taken away from them before the big event.
A source said the celebrations in the two European cities were because, “They fell in love in Paris and their daughter was conceived in Florence. Kanye planned every single detail.”
