Regulars of La Grenouille are still digesting the abrupt departure of general manager Charles Masson, and worry that more defections could soon follow.
Some wondered about the future of longtime dining-room manager Guillaume Chamot-Rooke and legendary maitre d’ Armel Gren.
“I just wonder — and hope — that La Grenouille’s two other dining room maestros are OK,” said one regular.
Charles left the restaurant last week after a feud with his brother, Philippe, who has taken over.
Philippe told us last week that there will be no more staff changes.
He’s overseeing a luncheon Wednesday hosted by British ambassador Mark Lyall Grant and W editor Stefano Tonchi for the movie “Belle.”
