Oscar winner Cate Blanchett — who’ll portray “60 Minutes” producer Mary Mapes in “Truth,” with Robert Redford as Dan Rather — was in New York this weekend, rehearsing her play, “The Maids.”
The “Blue Jasmine” star had breakfast Saturday morning with three pals at chef Marc Murphy’s Kingside.
Blanchett ordered a lemon sponge cake for the table.
“Maids,” from the Sydney Theatre Company, starts previews Wednesday as part of the Lincoln Center Festival. Isabelle Huppert co-stars.
