Jason Collins celebrates Nets debut at The Spotted Pig

NBA star Jason Collins celebrated his first night as a Brooklyn Net at The Spotted Pig after Monday’s game.

Collins — who made history when he entered the game late in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bulls to a standing ovation as the first openly gay player in the NBA — later headed to the West Village to join his twin brother, NBA pro Jarron Collins, and 20 other friends for dinner.

Spies said the group lingered at the restaurant until 2 a.m.

“Many customers and staffers shook his hand and hugged him on the way out,” one witness said.

Collins is expected to sign a second 10-day contract with the Nets after his first 10-day deal expired Tuesday. The Spotted Pig’s starry investors include Jay Z and Bono.
