Steven Spielberg may be one of the most successful directors in Hollywood history, but that doesn’t mean he’s above the occasional photobomb.

The “Jaws” director, 67, mischievously snuck up behind Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scialfa as they posed for a picture at the USC Shoah Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Gala in Century City, Calif., on Wednesday.

Just as the photographer was snapping the image, the two-time Best Director Oscar-winner threw on his most shocked-looking expression as he squeezed into the frame over Scialfa’s shoulder.

Not to be outdone, the legendary rocker got the director back, sneaking up behind him and wife Kate Capshaw later that evening.

Spielberg and Springsteen were actually seated at the same table at the event, and were joined by guest of honor President Obama.

Inspired by the making of “Schindler’s List,” the filmmaker set up the USC Shoah Foundation in 1994 to collect video testimonies from survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides.
