Slimmed-down Monica Lewinsky is focusing on work

After 10 years of self-imposed exile, Monica Lewinsky has returned to public life, showing off a slimmer figure.

The 40-year-old former White House intern looked sophisticated in a flattering black cocktail dress paired with nude heels and minimal accessories at the Masterpiece Marie Curie party at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London on Monday night.

Lewinsky, who recently declared in a Vanity Fair story, “It’s time to burn the beret and bury the blue dress,” looked confident as she mingled with Clive Owen and Princess Beatrice at the event to benefit the charity Marie Curie Cancer Care, which helps people with terminal cancer.

She was invited by event host Heather Kerzner, the socialite former wife of Sol Kerzner, who is an ambassador and a prominent fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

When we asked about Lewinsky’s stylish appearance, her spokeswoman responded, “While Monica is delighted that the NY Post wants to write something nice about her, her focus is on work right now. She was pleased to support the work of her dear friend Heather Kerzner and all she does for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Growing up the daughter of a radiation oncologist, Monica viewed Marie Curie as a hero.”

As Hillary Clinton mulls a 2016 run, Lewinsky has said she is not prepared to keep putting her life on hold and wants to use her experience to help others who face public humiliation.

She wrote, “My current goal is to get involved with efforts on behalf of victims of online humiliation and harassment and to start speaking on this topic in public forums.”
