50 Cent: I’d never want to own a club

50 Cent‘s new Starz series “Power” is about a drug dealer-turned-nightlife impresario, but while the show’s loosely based on Fiddy’s life, he told us he’d never want to own a club.

“People would probably sue me every two days,” he said at a bash at the Highline Ballroom, which was decked out to look like the club in the series.

“Every time someone slips and falls … we know you were intoxicated. But because I’d be connected to it, they’d probably sue me.”

The rapper also insisted of his famously flubbed Mets first pitch, “The ball slipped, it slipped! There’s no other way to explain it.” He was less forthcoming about a scuffle that took place during Sunday’s Summer Jam concert, where members of his entourage allegedly robbed a rival.

“What happened?” he asked. “I put on a great show,” he said, adding of his reunion with his old group G-Unit, “It felt like we were back in the neighborhood.” Guests at the Time Warner Cable “Power” bash included Russell Simmons.
