Long-awaited Lena Dunham Vogue pictures revealed

Lena Dunham’s first ever Vogue cover has landed, and the magazine crowns her “the new queen of comedy.”

The much-anticipated cover was released this morning, showing a wide-eyed Dunham shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Inside the magazine, Lena is photographed with Adam Driver, her on-screen boyfriend, out on the street, and at her home where he reclines in the bath.

And in the interview, Lena further discusses the issue of nudity and sex on her hit HBO show “Girls” – after she clashed with an LA writer last week who questioned why she was naked on the show so often.

“There was a sense that I and many women I knew had been led astray by Hollywood and television depictions of sexuality,” Dunham tells Vogue. “Seeing somebody who looks like you having sex on television is a less comfortable experience than seeing somebody who looks like nobody you’ve ever met.

“It’s a complicated thing. I want people ultimately, even if they’re disturbed by certain moments, to feel bolstered and normalized by the sex that’s on the show.”

Dunham’s February cover has been rumored for months after she appeared at a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event with Wintour in Los Angeles, and then Wintour appeared on the red carpet at the Season Three premiere of “Girls”.

Even though the cover is a huge milestone for Dunham, this isn’t her first time in Vogue. The magazine interviewed her and the cast back in 2012.
