Katie Couric’s bachelorette party: Motown and M&Ms

Katie Couric is set to marry fiancé John Molner at her Hamptons estate Saturday, but ahead of the ceremony, Couric enjoyed a tame bachelorette party Wednesday.

Some 45 guests piled into Le Midi near Union Square at 6:30 p.m., reports Us Weekly. In addition to sipping wine and enjoying food, which included personalized M&Ms with the bride and groom’s faces, a gospel choir surprised Couric.

“Katie was in shock,” said an insider.

Following the festivities, which Couric’s friend Wendy Walker organized, the group retired to the lower level of the restaurant for a round of karaoke, at which the ladies sang ‘60s hits.

“They sang and enjoyed a beautiful cake that the friends had brought with them,” said an onlooker.

Couric took the mic at one point and belted out “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” said a source. “The group mostly stuck to Motown.”

The famous journalist has already begun prepping her home for the big day. She posted a photo of her backyard to Instagram last weekend, writing, “The garden is ready for the big day one week from today! (Gulp!)”

Molner popped the question in September 2013 after two years of dating.
