Keira Knightley’s idea of hell is karaoke

You won’t see Keira Knightley, who took voice lessons for her role as a musician in “Begin Again,” at a karaoke bar.

“I hate karaoke,” Knightley told us Wednesday at the The Weinstein Company premiere at SVA Theatre. “It’s my idea of hell.”

Irish director John Carney introduced the film, explaining that starting over is an American concept.

“In Ireland we don’t begin again, we just let things fester and rot,” he said. “I guess . . . we have the ultimate beginning again, which is confession . . . we go and get absolved and just continue being [bleep]holes.”

Adam Levine, who plays a rock star in the movie, was heard telling a guest at the Bowery Hotel after-party that he doesn’t like to watch himself on-screen.

“He said it sucked having a real job,” says a spy. “He was joking he had to wake up at 7 a.m. when he should be waking up at noon.”
