John Mulaney, the former “Saturday Night Live” writer and star of Fox’s upcoming “Mulaney,” is getting married Saturday to makeup artist Annamarie Tendler at a mountaintop resort in the Catskills.
Lorne Michaels is missing it, because he’s on his annual sojourn to Wimbledon, but Seth Meyers and his wife, Alexi, are expected, as well as Martin Short and Elliott Gould, who also star in the new series.
Mulaney has gotten a lot of mileage out of his engagement, and does a riff in his act on the saying “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?”
After giving several joke answers, Mulaney tells the audience: “Because you love her. Yes, she’s a bossy little Jew, but you don’t want to be 50 years old, saying, ‘Seen any loose milk?’”
