Meredith Baxter’s 7-year itch?

There’s a reason behind Meredith Baxter‘s timing for coming out as a lesbian — she’s writing a book about her life. Sources said that Dan Strone of Trident Media Group is shopping her story. After three marriages and endless rumors she was dating a woman, “Family Ties” star Baxter told Matt Lauer yesterday, “Some people would say, well, you’re living a lie and, you know, the truth is — [but] not at all. This has only been for the past seven years.” She also told People, “I’m a lesbian mom.”
