De Niro, Springsteen culture kings

Who’s the boss? According to the Kennedy Center, both mob-boss actor Robert De Niro and Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen can cop the title. They were among five Americans — including Mel Brooks, jazz great Dave Brubeck and opera legend Grace Bumbry — who received Kennedy Center Honors last night for their contributions to US culture and the arts. No word on whether security was tightened for the pre-event reception at the White House, which was President Obama‘s first major do there since Micheale and Tareq Salahi crashed a state dinner last month.
