Anthony Haden-Guest had fun roasting artist Damien Hirst during a book party for makeup artist Francois Nars at Andre Balazs‘ Standard Hotel in Miami. Performing a soliloquy titled, “A Brilliant But Inexplicably Underappreciated Artist Contemplates Some Figures in the Landscape,” Haden-Guest joked, “Why would I want to see him immersed / In formaldehyde next to his putrid shark / And sold as a set to an oligarch?” — referring to the work bought by hedge-fund billionaire Steven A. Cohen for $8 million in 2004. Laughing along were Misshapes DJ Leigh Lezark and photographer Todd Eberle.
