It’s hard separating ink-stained wretches from their drink. At a party in the Reuters building for Sir Harold Evans‘ new book, “My Paper Chase” — hosted by Reuters CEO Tom Glocer — the bar had to be closed for Evans’ discussion with MSNBC’s Mike Barnicle because too many people were chatting while trying to get a drink. “It’s a testament to Harry that we have a room of such distinguished journalists, but we still had to close the bar [for the discussion],” quipped Glocer. Also there were Martin Scorsese, Nora Ephron, Carl Bernstein, Karenna Gore-Schiff, Joe Scarborough and Evans’ wife, Tina Brown.
