Google’s Nikesh Arora plans lavish Italian wedding to Ayesha Thapar

The tech world is gearing up for its own destination wedding of the century — Google’s Nikesh Arora is marrying entrepreneur Ayesha Thapar in Italy in a lavish multi-day ceremony.

Guests including Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Oracle’s Larry Ellison are expected to flock to the festivities in Puglia.

Also expected are some of the global leaders and international business heads whom Arora — Google’s senior vice president and chief business officer, who earned $51 million in 2012 — regularly rubs shoulders with at events like the Davos World Economic Forum.

We are told that guests are being told to arrive on June 30 in Borgo Egnazia for the traditional Indian wedding, in which festivities go on for a number of days.

New Delhi-based Ayesha, heir to Indian City Properties and the Thapar family legacy, is a star in the Indian media thanks to her good looks and work with the family business.

Ayesha and Arora will split their time between India and Silicon Valley as Google expands further in Asia.
