While fashionistas swarmed the Dream Downtown hotel to fight their way into both Prabal Gurung’s after-party at the Electric Room as well as a party for Lovecat magazine with the Kills in the hotel’s Gallery space Saturday, Justin Bieber and Usher were ensconced in a corner booth in the lobby restaurant Marble Lane. The duo had a late dinner, protected from the throngs by four bodyguards and managers posted at the outer seats of their table, plus a tall “lookout guy” dressed in a snuggly ski sweater who stood watch to prevent anyone from approaching the table. Bieber and Usher stayed until 2 a.m., but left without attending any of the fashion bashes. Gurung partied after a dinner with guests including Candice Swanepoel, Maggie Betts and Brad Goreski. His after-party was so packed that staff shut the doors, but about 2 a.m., the Kills’ Jamie Hince and Ali
son Mosshart, Stavros Niarchos, Jessica Hart and Rose McGowan arrived to continue the party into the early hours in the VIP room.
