Actor Giovanni Ribisi and supermodel Agness Deyn have secretly tied the knot.
The pair was married at the LA County Registrar’s Office in East Los Angeles last weekend, according to Web site Celebuzz. The beyond no-frills nuptials would have gone unnoticed if they hadn’t been spotted by a reporter from a local LA Web site who was picking up her child’s birth certificate.
Deyn — the English model who became famous for her short, boyish blond locks — skipped a wedding dress for a plain striped t-shirt. She’s been on the cover of Vogue, and ads for Giorgio Armani and Burberry, and replaced Angelina Jolie as the face of makeup line Shiseido.
Ribisi also wore a T-shirt, rather than a tux, the gossip site reported. He’s known for starring in “Avatar” and “Saving Private Ryan,” and is in the upcoming Mark Wahlberg film “Ted.”
Oddly, it was barely known the two were dating, let alone in love and engaged.
According to Celebuzz, the reporter who spotted them tying the knot asked the pair how long they’d been together and they only said, “A while.” But in March, Deyn told the UK’s Daily Mail of her relationship status, “I’m all alone… “There has been no man in my life for several months now and although it would be nice to have a boyfriend, I can’t just settle for anybody.”
The model’s been linked to Aussie VH1 host Jason Dundas, as well as James Franco, and a 2009 report said that she’d stepped away from modeling to spend more time with a then-boyfriend.
Ribisi was married to actress Mariah O’Brien for four years, but they pair parted ways back in 2001.
